This team coupled with the facilities state-of-the-art equipment in MRI, CT, X-RAY, Fluoroscopy, and ultrasound, offers patients and medical professionals the most accurate and timely diagnostics available in Alaska. Valley Imaging Center is centrally located in Wasilla off KGB road.

Valley Imaging Center is Expanding-All scans are Performed by registered technologists, interpreted by local radiologists, and reports provided in a timely fashion directly to your referring physician.
MRI
X-RAY
We offer X-ray using the newest in DR panel technology, providing superior image quality while using a lower dose than CR technology.
CT
Now scheduling CT exams. Our machine uses 30% less radiation than the typical CT.
3T MRI
Alaska's most advanced MRI provides higher resolution for better diagnostic accuracy.
Bigger bore offers greater comfort for larger, claustrophobic, and pediatric patients.
ULTRASOUND
We offer fast turn arounds for adult echocardiograms, and liver elastography.
Mammography
Offering Digital Breast Tomography exams on our new, state-of-the-art Hologic machine.
Bone Density
Bone density services are available now.

Patient Forms and Payments

Filling out the required forms ahead of time can save you time in the office.
Preparing For Your Exam
MRI and CT: You will be asked to remove all metal from your person (e.g. earrings, watches, bobby pins, barrettes) and credit cards. Lockers are provided. It’s helpful if your clothing is comfortable (e.g. sweats) and doesn’t include metal buttons, snaps or zippers. You do not need to fast. You can eat and drink normally prior to the exam.
Ultrasound:​
Abdominal Ultrasound: Nothing to eat or drink eight hours before exam
Pelvic Ultrasound: Full bladder

Prescribed Medications
You may take your prescription medications as directed.
I.V. Contrast Examinations
Patients that are over 60 years old, diabetic, and/or have kidney problems may need laboratory tests 48 hours prior to an exam. Please contact us at 907-373-3700 for additional information.
Access to Images
Your healthcare provider will receive a faxed report from our radiologists and will review the results with you during your next appointment with them.
Claustrophobic or Anxious
Our 3T MRI unit has a bigger bore for more room for the patient, resulting in a better patient experience and less anxiety.
Depending on your level of anxiety, you may want to discuss medication options with your primary care provider before your MRI appointment.
Length of Appointments
Most exams take 1 hour. If you are having multiple exams, such as a knee and hip, then the exam would take approximately 2 hours.
Insurance and Payment
We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and most insurance plans or types and we honor in-network co-pays. We are in-network with Premera, Aetna, and Cigna. We will obtain prior authorization to ensure that your insurance is notified and approves your clinicians referral.
